Calculation Notes Pane To obtain information about the Notes Pane’s controls, mouse-click them in the figure shown below.
Use the notes pane to enter text and graphics to accompany the calculation currently entered in the Calculation Pane; when you save a calculation to a file, the notes entered in this pane are also saved. Use the text entry field’s pop-up menu to set the options for displayed text. These settings format all text in this control and so you should paste text and graphics from a word processor such as Microsoft Word, if you need more flexible formatting capabilities. Tips: Double-click with the mouse to toggle between maximized and minimized views of this pane: the default setting is minimized. To see how best to use the Notes Pane, load the ‘Energy and Force’ calculation from the functions library. To do this, click on the ‘Calculator Options’ menu and then select ‘Load Calculation’. Then navigate to the ‘Energy and Force’ sub-folder in the ‘Physics’ folder and select ‘Energy and Force.CAL’. Here you will see that annotating calculations in the history pane allows cross-referencing to entries in the notes pane. |
